Before booking a test or attending our laboratory, you must have been free of the following main recognised symptoms of Covid-19 for the past 14 days:
- A fever of more than 37.8°C if checked with a thermometer.
- Free of sweats, shivers and similar symptoms.
- A new, continuous cough.
- A loss or change in normal sense of taste or smell.
Due to the volume of testing, we have laid out a time frame which will indicate when your results will be provided. This time frame is as follows:
– To receive your results the next working day, your appointment must be booked in before 12:30pm.
– Any appointments for tests booked in after 12:30pm will not receive their results the next working day but the second working day after sampling.
– When ordering a same day test (additional cost), the sampling appointment must be booked in before 10am.
We realise that this may cause some inconvenience, however we will do our utmost to ensure all clients’ needs are met.

We are a highly qualified and experienced molecular biology testing laboratory. Our COVID-19 back to work test and certificate will verify the presence of SARS-CoV-2 through the use of a throat swab.
Why do I need this test?
In an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19, your employer may ask for proof that you are free from infection. Our COVID-19 PCR test and certificate may be used as evidence in such a case.
Fit 2 Fly
The importance of a ‘Fit to Fly’ certificate
These certificates have been put in place to slow the spread of SARS-CoV-2 worldwide, with some countries requiring the document in order to enter. Being DHSC accredited means our laboratory can provide you with this certificate, however please keep in mind if you do forget your certificate after your departure, you may be asked to return to the UK upon reaching your destination.
How much is our ‘Fit 2 Fly’ test?
Our tests have been designed to be affordable and quick. The total cost for our fit to fly test and certificate is £110 with County Durham residents having a discounted £95 option.
When should I order my test?
We recommend booking your appointment for the first day of the testing time window, this means if you have a 72 hour time frame you will receive your results 2 days before your flight. Please keep in mind that our offices are open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.
How accurate is this test?
Our COVID-19 PCR tests are very accurate (>99.99%), to the point we may detect the virus even if you are asymptomatic. The main issue arises due to incorrect sampling, the cost of a qualified member of our staff sampling you is included in the cost of a fit to fly test.
